Они могут использоваться специалистами для оказания помощи в финансировании инвестиций в акции, с которыми работают брокеры; брокерскими фирмами — для финансирования подписки на новые выпуски корпоративных и муниципальных ценных бумаг; для финансирования собственных инвестиций компаний или для помощи в финансировании приобретения ценных бумаг для клиентов, которые предпочитают использовать брокерский кредит при покупке ценных бумаг (см. margin)
